Hi, so I am looking to have my 2013 IS250 RWD to be flushed but I need help with a few questions about the setup as I am buying Gram lights 57CR. I will buy BC racing Coilovers and am looking for a 1-1.5 finger gap for both front and rear.
Rims only come in the following:18x8.5 (+37mm, +50 mm)

18x9.5 (+22 mm, +38mm)

18x10.5 (+12 mm & +22m)

1. Wheel setup I would like to run INITIALLY was the following until I realized the rims do not come in this size for 18x8.5.
18x8.5 +22 offset 245/35 F
18x9.5 +22 offset 275/35 R
What rim sizes would I run instead to have a flushed setup with no rubbing? Can trim/roll but will only do if necessary for flushed look!

I ran 18x9.5 +30 with 245/40 all around (AWD) to achieve the flush look. Lowered on BC coils to zero gap. I had to relocate the bumper tab and shave down the original tab, I rubbed through the plastic fender liners, and I had to roll front and rear fenders. I also needed to install a front and rear camber kit and get an alignment. If I were in your shoes, and I had to do it all over again, I would roll front and rear fenders, then go with 18x8.5 +37 all around. Use 5mm and/or 8mm spacers to help get the flush look you're after. A square setup makes tire rotations really easy.

If you want no rubbing then go with:
18x8.5 +37
18x9.5 + 38

FYI 245/35/18 has a smaller circumference than the stock 225/40/18
If you want even looking sidewalls front and back then use 245/40/18 - 275/35/18

If you had to do it again with 18x9.5 for the rear, what rim offset and tire size would you go? I am trying to do staggered currently.

Sorry if this is a dumb question, but when looking at these tire comparisons, what exactly am I trying to look for or aim for?

Like I said, I would do 18x8.5 +37, then use spacers if I needed to push it out a little more. If you want the wider tire for looks, do 18x9.5 +30 with 245/40 tires and roll your rear fenders. But keep in mind that the wider rim and heavier tire adds unsprung weight to the car, which will translate slightly to a minor loss in acceleration.

IMO there is really no point in running a staggered setup on the 250. The stock engine doesn't put out enough power to actually make use of the extra width. You can do it just to say that you're running staggered wheels, but again, it becomes less economical to rotate tires since you can only rotate right to left and not front to back.

What would your tire setup be for 18x8.5 +37?

Im running +35/+38 19” Work wheels. They sit almost perfect. I’m just lowered on H&R springs.

I think I'll go with 18x9.5 et 22 and 18x9.5 et 22 (or 12 with spacers). Thinking of running 215/40/18 F and 235/40/18 R. What fender work would I need to prevent rubbing here now?

Hi, I'm looking into getting Rotiform RSE's for my 2008 IS350. With these wheels I feel like I'd have to go with 19s to complete the look I'm going for. I'm still waiting on my Fortune Auto 500 coilovers to ship & I don't want to put them on before I have new wheels. This is my first car & I'm still learning a lot about wheels so I don't want to make the mistake of buying the incorrect wheels/tires. If I could get some help, that'd be amazing.

I have some questions:
  • Should I go with a staggered setup?
  • How wide should I go with the fronts & rears for flush fitment?
  • Tires sizes? I don't want a lot of tire stretch
  • Will I have to roll the fenders to make it work?
  • Should I go with 18s instead since it's my daily?

Excellent choice of wheels!! I was looking at those and was about to place the order when Covid-19 hit My plan was to order blank wheels with no holes and have them drilled correct bolt pattern. It's kinda annoying that the staggered sets come with dual but not the same bolt pattern. For instance 18x8.5 comes with pre-drilled 5x114. and 5x100 while 19x9.5 would come 5x114.3 and 5x120...If i was to sell those wheels to someone with BMW or Audi- VW , potential buyer would have 2 wheels 5x100 and 2 wheels 5x120. Don't see any logic here. You can order blanks (custom PCD) and have them drilled at the factory all four wheels with one bolt pattern of your choice. If the roads in your area are smooth and you're cautious driver you can go for 19" if not, go for 18".

If you want the wheels that don't require additional fender work then 19x8.5 et 40 and 19x9.5 et 35 would be be your best choice. The same offset would apply to 18 inch. I believe they all come with center bore 72.56 so you'd need 4 centering rings 72.56->60.1mm to fit them properly on your hubs. Our cars use M12 x 1.5 lug nuts and you'd need a set of either Conical or Spherical lug nuts (depending on the shape of lugholes). You wouldn't be able to use stock lug nuts (Mag type) with the aftermarket wheels. For increased comfort of driving you can get slightly taller tires 225/40R19 and 255/35R19, think IS F tire size. They look great and even on 19" wheels car feels comfortable to drive.

Pay attention to tires ratings on the sidewall.
H rated 130 mph (210 km/h)
V rated 149 mph (240 km/h)
W rated 168 mph (270 km/h)
Y rated 186 mph (300 km/h)

H rated tires are cushier over W or Y rated. Think of it, higher the rating stiffer the sidewall meaning less comfortable ride. Guys be putting Y rated tires, progressive springs, stiffer bars and complain about their rides being stiff lol.

Good luck, come back and show us your ride when you're done.

Cheers,

So I think I've decided to not go with a staggered setup. I want to go with 18s squared just for the convenience of rotating tires. I was thinking of 18x9.5 but I want a flush or close to flush setup. I was thinking of 18x9.5 35 for the front wheels but I don't know what offset I should get for the rear wheels (maybe between 25-35 or lower for flush fitment?). I will be dropping the car with coilovers but I won't be going crazy low. I'm fine with minor trimming on the inner lining but I don't really want to roll the fenders. I want a decent sidewall size on the tires since I think that looks clean with 18s.

Any help for what I'm trying to accomplish would be greatly appreciated.

Edit: How would these fit?
Front: 18x9.5 +35
Rear: 18x9.5 +30
Tires: 245/40

I'd ideally want to run decently sized tires width & sidewall.

Question 2is Fitment Help

I currently have a 07 2is and I wanted to run 18x9.5s +38 all around with 235s in the front and 255/265 in rear is this possible on a 18x9.5 +38 or do I need to have a staggered rims? I guess my question is can I run staggered tires on the same rim? Because I don't want to go down to 235s all around. and if it is possible what tires would work. but I do not want to roll the fenders at the moment or else I would go 255s all around.
