rule of thumb is, for every inch your wheel diameter goes up, you go down one tire aspect ratio to preserve rolling diameter (read: NOT throw off the odometer and speedometer).

for OEM 2is 18" tires, staggered sizes are 225/40/18 and 255/40/18.

for +1 sizing (19" wheels), you should be running 225/35/19 and 255/35/19.

food for thought.
Yes i knew those tires were too tall but I didnt want to waste useable tread and waste money and a set of tires knowing I would be changing wheels. I lived with them for a season till they were toast. I asked if the new spec'ed rims would fit because I did not want to make the same mistake as my previous rims as you stated (tires too tall/too thick).

Thanks for informing about the rule of thumb.

Hi members, I have a 2012 is350 rwd lowered with coilovers. I'm interested in some 19" lm style wheels. Would fronts 19x8.5 +35 and rear 19x9.5 +35 fit without rolling or pulling the front/rear fenders with a tire size of 235/35/19 and 265/30/19? another option is fronts 19x8.5 +35 and rear 19x9.5 +40 with the same tire size of 235/35/19 and 265/30/19.

you won't need your fenders rolled, but you will need to run one treadwidth size narrower for fronts and rears: 225/35-19 + 255/35-19.

will fit without fender modifications. 225/35-19 and 255/35-19. you can even try 265/30-19.

Google is your best friend.

1. At least you've narrowed it down to MS1 or SP3 in 19's. Here's the MS1 product page, and here's the SP3 product page. Click on the desired wheel size and find your desired wheel specs.

2. Here's a website I found (on Google) that helps you understand the wheel disk types. Your disk calipers will determine what disk type you will need to run. If you have an IS350, most likely only wheels w/ hyper disk will fit.

3. When all else fails, call an authorized SSR dealer. Here's a list of them.

I'd find something different 17x7 +35 isn't a great setup for the 2is. Why not go 18 inch at least?

assuming you have an is350, you can use md disk on the front, sl on the rear. If you have an is250 you might be able to do NR front instead.

i ended up looking at 18x7.5 with a 38 offset instead since i realised how small 17's would be, would there be no issues with fitment?
alongside firestone indy 500 225/40R18 tires

OEM 18's (staggered) are 18x8 and 18x8.5.

18x7 doesn't offer much wheel width.

Default RWD IS350 19" AG wheels Bagged & wrapped in Matte Olive Green

I am currently on AGL10's 19x9.5 & x10.5 bagged. Offfsets are +32 all around with 215/35 & 245/35 tires stretched. The 3rd & 4th pics are roughly my driving height. I am running -2 front camber and -3 in rear. I needed all fenders rolled and linings shaved. No more rubbing after said work was completed
