Gonna get a set offered by BC. The HB29 hella concave. Trying to get as much concave a possible with only having to roll fenders maybe heat liner. How u guys feel about 19x9 and 19x10 both +33, or +35? Or should front be different than rear? Thanks

no opinion of the wheels, but the specs will be fine with rolled fenders.

If I recall correctly, the consensus for tire sizes on 19x8.5 and 19x9.5 wheels when trying to match OEM rolling diamater, you go with 225 or 235/35/19 in front and 265 or 275/30/19 in the rear. Is this accurate? How about a 245/35/19 in the rear so that the sidewalls match better?

245/35/19 on a 9.5 would be a stretch, small stretch but may look odd since the front would not be stretched. unless op went with a 215/30/19 and 245/35/19

^ you mean 215/35-19, right?

245/35-19 on a 9.5 in the rear is a safe stretch for daily driving. you'd have to run 215/35-19 to get the a similar look up front - like what josh posted.

Is there a specific reason why people go with 35 in front and 30 in rear (e.g. 8.5x19 w/225/35/19 and 9.5x19 w/265/30/19)? It bothers my OCD. I want matching sidewall widths and as close to stock rolling diameter as possible.

Because those are sidewall ratios so 35% of 225 and 30% of 265. They end up matching better this way. Someone correct me if I'm wrong...

i think you're confusing aspect ratio with actual sidewall height.

tire specs -> sidewall height, mm

front:
215/35-19 = 75.25
225/35-19 = 78.75
235/35-19 = 82.25

rear:
235/35-19 = 82.25
245/35-19 = 85.75
255/35-19 = 89.25
265/35-19 = 92.75
265/30-19 = 79.5
275/30-19 = 82.5

Derp. This changes everything haha. I think I'll go with 225/35/19 and 265/30/19 then. Is that pretty close to stock rolling diameter?

given OEM sizes: 225/40-18 (F) + 255/40-18 (R)

tire size - rolling diameter:

front:
225/40-18 - 25.08" (OEM)
225/35-19 - 25.20" (OEM +1)

alternatively...
215/35-19 - 24.92"
235/35-19 - 25.47"

rear:
255/40-18 - 26.03" (OEM)
265/30-19 - 25.25"

alternatively...
235/35-19 - 25.47"
245/35-19 - 25.75"
255/35-19 - 26.02" (OEM +1)
265/35-19 - 26.30"
275/30-19 - 25.49"

bon appetit.

I was looking at getting a set of 2Crave Rims. Here were my two options I was thinking:

20x7.5 with a 225/30/20 tire (Both front and rear) Offset: ? That's the one thing Im not sure of. Prolly a +35 (Front and rear)

Or

Same set of rims but with:
20x8.5 with a 225/30/20 tire (Both front and rear) Offset: Same +35?

http://www.discountedwheelwarehouse....0FBL&pID=10393

My plans are to lower the car with H & R springs. Just curious which would be better for my future plans. Is going with a smaller rim in the front and staggering the back even worth it? Might as well keep them both 8.5 and have the ability to rotate right?

I dont want to roll the fenders or anything like that. I don't mind heat gunning the inner plastic tho Thanks for the advice/knowledge

Thanks for all the info projectdna. Assuming I'm interpreting everything correctly, if I want matching sidewalls I would get 235/35/19 with 275/30/19 or 225/35/19 with 265/30/19. However, if I want closest to stock rolling diameter I would get 225/35/19 and 255/35/19, but the sidewalls would be way off (>10 mm difference). So I'm thinking I'll go with 225/35/19 with 265/30/19 (the smaller size should reduce rubbing as I understand it) and just deal with the rolling diameters being off ~3%, which I assume isn't that big of a deal.

For anyone interested, I compiled projectdna's data into a spreadsheet and included percent differences in rolling diameter from stock:

Tire Size / Sidewall (mm) / R. Diam. (in) / R. Diam. % Dif.
FRONT

225/40-18 / STOCK / 25.08 / N/A
215/35-19 / 75.25 / 24.92 / -0.64%
225/35-19 / 78.75 / 25.2 / 0.48%
235/35-19 / 82.25 / 25.47 / 1.55%

REAR
255/40-18 / STOCK / 26.03 / N/A
235/35-19 / 82.25 / 25.47 / -2.15%
245/35-19 / 85.75 / 25.75 / -1.10%
255/35-19 / 89.25 / 26.02 / -0.04%
265/35-19 / 92.75 / 26.3 / 1.04%
265/30-19 / 79.5 / 25.25 / -2.97%
275/30-19 / 82.5 / 25.49 / -2.14%

will 275/30/19 be a good fit on a 19x9.5 et 35 in the rear?
I'm lowered on Fsport shocks/springs and don't want to modify fenders.
Will this rub?

see bolded for recommendation.

running a staggered set-up is do-able, but if your 2is is AWD i'd save the headache and run a square set-up.

yes.

should you get it?
up to you.

personally, i would go with a staggered set-up (wider wheels in the rear than in the front), and something wider than OEM specs.

i think that's a pretty good interpretation, and typically the sizes that i threw up in my previous posts are (imo) within an acceptable range for the 2is such that it will not screw with the odometer/speedometer.

btw, good work on the data interpretation. i thought i was getting too geeky for this thread.

wasn't this already addressed in your previous thread?
