I can't lower the car.
It will be my DD and about once a month I fully lock the steering wheel to do U-turns.
I would prefer not to rub.
That said I found a hella deal on:
20x9 +25 front
20x10.5 +25 rear (I could shave the backpad, safely, and make it a +32 in the rear if needed)

At stock ride height (I know I know) I'd like to be able to throw in some:
245/30R20 in front
295/25R20 rear

I have no problem rolling inner fenders
i have no problem melting the tabs in the front fender liner

DO I need a camber kit if I am not lowering my car?
Will I need to pull fenders if I'm rolling the inner fender?
Again I can't lower my car. It will be stock ride height. I know a +25 up front w/ a 20x9 size and a +32 w/ a 20x10.5 is going to look retarded at stock height but the only thing I'd be willing to do is get a a 245/35 front tire and a 295/30 rear to compensate for not being lowered

I rub so hard on the driver side, 245/30/20. 20x9 +38.

Is there any better size for less rubbing?

 

depends on where you are rubbing, but common sense would dictate 235/30-20.

 

I think it rubs on the fender part over the side skirts. I have tried 235/30. It was better, but it sticks out a bit too much for my taste, is there a way to fit better?

Yeah, not very knowledgeable in these stuff.

 

I needed new front tires and my buddy had some lying around he was going to give me. Figured I'd at least try to see if they'd fit, and they are great tires.

 

Hi, I have a IS 300 RWD (2010 model) (similar to the IS 250 or IS 350 RWD). My current wheels are stock 16 inch.

Does anyone here have 18 x 8 with an offset of 40 for both front and rear tyres? Is there any rubbing? What tyre size should i use?

you will be fine with that, one thing, most people with RWD run a staggered setup on rims any particular reason your going squared?

Depending on what look your going for which obviously isnt aggresive, maybe you could run 235/40/18 all around

 

Thanks Vroomin. The rims that I want do not have a staggered set up, unfortunately. It only has 18 x 8 +40 or 18x 8 +45. I understand that +45 would be too tucked in?

one option is to run 235/30-20.

the other option is to modify your fenders to create the clearance to run 245-30-20.

iirc, 18x8 +40 is very close to oem fitment if not exactly the same (at least the fronts for the 2is OEM 18's).

225/40-18 would be your best bet to keep the OEM rolling diameter.

235/40-18 would be fine, though it would look "meaty" on an 8"-wide wheel.

the difference is 5mm farther inward.

so if 235/30 isn't going to work in terms of visual aesthetics, i doubt 225 or even 215 will work.

 

Hi sorry to ask again. The rims that i am going to buy is the Enkei Ammodo.

So i know that 18x8 +40 will fit fine. Should i go for the 19x8 +48 offset instead? Would this look nicer? or should i stick with the 18x8 +40? (It was the only 19inch size they have).
