As for trying to get a smaller tire size... i believe at this point it might be the rims itself hitting the rear fenders.

255/35-19 should be suitable on a 10.5, despite being a taller-sized tire.

the difference between that and 265/30-19 is that with a narrower tire size the sidewalls have to "angle in" (the stretched look), creating more space for the fenders along the shoulder of the tires.

though at this point (and at your ride height, DaKi3241; i've seen how low your 2is is ) fender work is strongly recommended per Mv350.

can you even fit a 275 onto an 8.5"-wide wheel?

if you're on 255/40-18 right now, you'll need another 1/2"-3/8" to make sure that 275's can clear.

allow me to clarify my previous post.

"if you're on 255/40-18 right now, you'll need approximately another 1/2"-3/8" on each side of the wheel to make sure that 275's can clear."

meaning, if the edge of the rear fenders are within a half-inch of your rear tires' outer sidewalls, you'll have issues.

I'm not running a 255/40/18 nor am I asking about a 255/40/18. My question is on my current 275/35/18 tires will I be able to run a 15mm spacer with no issues? I don't know where you got 255 from or if you're speaking hypothetically, but I don't find your post relevant to what I'm aiming at. Sorry

bolded for emphasis.

i know you're asking about 275's.

i'm using 255's as reference.

seeing as to how 275's are 20mm wider than 255's (275 - 255 = 20), that means it's 10mm wider on each side of the tire than 255's (again, mentioned for reference).

so...

if you're on 255's RIGHT NOW, and you're running 15mm spacers already, and there's at least 3/8"-1/2" of clearance between the edge of the fender and the tire's outer sidewall, then yes, you can run 275's.

but if everything that i've posted is still not relevant to your proposed set-up, you can just skip everything i posted, mount 275's + 15mm spacers, and learn the hard way if it works or not.

The thing is I'm already running 275's. I'm not on a 255 to measure whether or not I need the extra space to clear a 275. I'm running a 275 currently with no issues what so ever besides the fact i need moar poke. I now understand now that you were putting it in perspective as if I were running a 255, which I'm guessing you might be(?) but anyway, I appreciate your help regardless. Thank you.

if your running a 275/35 on the rear just measure the gap in your fender well to the tire. im guessing you would be able to get away with running a 10mm no problem and a 15mm might need some slight shaving to fit but not much

Fitment experts....

SSR MS1 on IS350

Rear 19x9+24 SL (97mm) 245/35/19
(Seen a few with these so guessing should be fine)

Front
19x9+31 HP (46mm) 225/35/19
OR
19x9+24 MD (59mm) 225/35/19 - will this clear the 350 4-pots?

Also tempted to run 20s on the rear in the same fitment. Anyone tried this? With like a 245/30/20??

Goal is not to molester car, no fender mods. Little bit of poke. Will be lowered on either H&R springs or BC coilovers.

with that setup your gunna have to roll your fenders in the rear. and the 19x9+31 with a 215/35 should fit, but again your probably gunna have to roll.... and no fenders mods but want poke is an oximoron, unless you want mexi-flush-poke

that should fit with no mods, the front tires need to be 225 tho, 245 is WAY to big

Cheers for the response.
Just realised i made a mistake.

Option for the front was 19x9+29 MD, not +24. But from your response i'm guessing thats not going to clear the brakes. As it's 11mm further in towards the brake than the +31 HP.

And yeah your right, don't want mexi-poke. Guard rolling is fine.
