Thanks for the welcome guys! It is going to be hard not to do TOO much moding with all the pictures you guys post. lol
darkdream, I'm currently at CSUN for Economics.
kevetard, close guess on Santa Monica, but I got mine from Van Nuys and sister got her from Glendale (where we live).
Fizzboy7, just curious what do you miss from the 03 A4? Maybe it's because I just got it a week ago but I'm having a hard time finding something that I miss from the Audi? Rusnak had great service........ until your warranty expires haha......... but I haven't gotten the pleasure of taking my car to the dealership yet. The turbo made a nice sound on cold days with an open air intake but other than that I can't think of anything else that I miss.
Again thanks for the welcome, I'm looking forward to wards sticking around here for a while.

Well, I had a 1.8T CVT which had almost identical 0-60 numbers as the IS250. Yet, the A4 felt faster. It did have a delay and a little turbo lag, but once that kicked in, it was strong. The IS seems a tad faster off the line, but doesn't have the mid punch. The Tiptronic shifting was also faster with the Audi, with no delay at all. What I miss most is the cornering. Not that the IS is a slouch, but the A4 always felt like it was on rails going around corners. Even after putting on some F-sport springs, it didn't make much of a difference. These aren't major things and I knew them going into the purchase, but they are things I do miss. Other minute picks involve the interior finish. The materials in the Audi were simply top notch. The feel and "swing" of the interior door handle was precise with the A4, but there's some uneven points of travel with the IS. Also, the door hinges on the A4 were smoother and quieter than the IS. Interior lighting was amazing in the Audi, with just about everthing and every button lit at night. More- I truly miss seeing more information on the dash and trip computer. The Audi had constant streaming RDS (artist/song title) in the central display, while the IS "TEXT" feature plain sucks. Also can't see the outside temp while monitoring MPG's in the IS. No split-folding rear seat in the IS either, which was very handy in the A4 for transporting a bike or snowboard.
Much of this has been covered already at CL, so I don't want to rehash negatives. There's a long long list of positives, with styling being #1 on my list. Customer service is also incredible compared to Audi. I'll just sum it up by saying every car has it's merits and demerits. The IS is a great car in my opinion, and I am completely happy I made the purchase. I am confident you are going to continue loving your new car for many years.
P.S. The newly installed righthand turn arrow at the NW corner of Zelzah and Nordhoff is causing all kinds of madness. No one realizes you can still make a right turn on the red arrow. (I've called this in).
Another CSUN IS! hehe Anyone get caught up in the demonstration on Reseda Blvd last Thursday? As the crowd approached, I pulled over to the curb and everyone walked in between the cars stranded in the lanes. Glad I made it over, it was crazy!
Was this for the walk-out? Class was canceled so i didn't get to see the madness.
Yeah, a few hundred people down the middle of Reseda. Highway patrol and police didn't catch on at first and cars were intermingling with the protesters. I was coming out of the post office and heard the racket and pulled over at Halsted while they past. When they got to Priarie, the police held it there and I think an older lady got pushed and broke her arm. There was also scuffling that led to five arrests. Messed up my work too, with the street closed at Nordhoff. Don't think the protestors realize how much stuff like that impacts local businesses, but I feel for the students and the current financial mess.
Dope, i went to csun too, for about a week. Didnt really like it for some reason. Decided to go to GCC and transfer to the school i wanted to go from the beginning.
Congrats on your new car and welcome to CL

There are "just teaser pics" "my new mods" "just installed" "just received in the mail" "updated pics" threads poping up every other day.
haha
xxjtp1xx, your not really helping my no modding plan haha. I'm a sucker for intakes. I loved my CAI intake on the Audi, only reason I took it off and sold it was because it was making my car run rich for some reason.
IS25Heaven, I went to GCC too before CSUN. I wanted to go to UCLA but was stupid and didn't apply.
Nice to see a lot of SoCal guys on here.
