the stock system is quite ***** imo...coming from an acura to this...acura had lexus beat by 343248304 miles...i have a 2010 btw also doesnt seem like much comes from my rear speakers either..and that paper cone in the trunk is a poor excuse for a subwoofer

arent they pretty rare in the IS line without custom orders no? either way the system should be good enough stock and shouldnt have to pay a premium just to be on par with other cars

My only Acura comparison is the TL, but I'd probably rate them as:
Standard Lexus Audio< Acura TL audio < Mark Levinson Audio in Lexus
------------------------^small amount... ^large amount
The TL has played DVD-A for like 10 years now, the IS still won't without ML+Nav
