Default Side-by-side photos?

Just wondering how much lower an IS with coilovers is than a stock IS. I'm sure someone on here has photos of the two side-by-side...

i think you are a little confused. with coilovers, you can adjust the ride height, so an IS with coilovers can be just as high as a stock IS or it can be adjusted to be as low as the driver wants

Yes, I was confused. Thanks for clearing that up.

I guess a better question would be, what drop amount is a good look?

I know everyone has their opinion but if I use the car for business and do not want to drive people around in an IS that is almost scraping the road. But is one inch going to be noticed by anyone but me? Is two inches starting to need wheel well mods to avoid touching?

I guess that is more what I am looking for.

It really depends on what you are looking for. If you are using the car just as a daily driver 1.5" drop all around is noticeable, 1" drop is basically how your car will look on fsport springs. My car is lowered on s-techs right now and my back wheels are tucked atleast 1 fingergap and I have about 1 fingergap space in my front wheels.

Rubbing will depend on the width and offset of your wheels.

if you want a decent mild drop, eibach is250 springs are the way to go, not fsport *aka eibach 350 springs*

Do any of you have photos? Josh, you have F-Sport so according to a post above, you have about an inch drop from stock? I would like to see what that looked like.

Remember it also varies on peoples rim size and tires size on the amount of wheel gap they have and also what lip they have to see difference from lip to ground.

Ah yes, a lip definitely gives the optical illusion of the front being lower

Awesome. Thanks for the photos. One inch doesn't look bad at all. The white IS in the first photo is stock height, correct?

yeah, the white is was at stock height. That was the very first day i had the springs installed. they mildly dropped a little bit more becuase the car was parked right after it was jacked up. IF you want i might sell mine. there the new ones that dont have the clunking isdsue. I might upgrade to another set of springs

Thanks coleen! =D

KY350

F sports are factory 2, they were desighned especially for our car. There was a TSIB before on the old set of f sports because they used to make clunking noises. The new f sport springs, don't have the clunking issue. So if your thinking of going witb a used set, make sure you get the new ones and not the ones that were recalled for the noise issue.
