There is a **** next to the steering wheel towards the door. It looks like this

< 0 >

the 0 is the **** and you just turn it. Do it at night then you will fully understand the capabilities of the ****.

This is a very common question. The instrument panel dimmer will lock the navigation screen in day mode when it is turned to maximum brightness. If you turn the **** away from maximum brightness, you'll hear a click, and the nav screen will switch between day and night mode automatically as it gets darker or light outside.

if that doesn't work, at night, hit the DISP button next to the nav, and see if there is a "Day Mode" button on screen. If so, press it.

The dimmer **** Bichon refers to puts the screen, plus the whole instrument panel in day mode. The button on the nav screen only puts the nav in day mode.

Very nice to know. I often see the instrument panel/nav screen go dim automatically while driving at evening and want to change that behavior.
