Your car must have been in a wreck. No Lexus does this off the showroom floor.

Take it to a body shop (or the dealer) and have the door adjusted properly. It should never partially close if someone older than four is closing it.

actually it has never been wrecked but my dad used to kick the door out so the hinge would stop the door from flying off, i guess its loosened?

are you referring to how when you are getting out of the car you open the door, and before you can swing your leg out its closing on you? Mine does that too, so I have a lot of footprints on the speaker grill.

If you push the door open with force (e.g. kicking it), yes, it will bounce back.

The solution is to open it with your hand, Pele.

This is ck
This is classic wear symptoms of the middle door check, not the upper and lower hinges for each door.

Mine does this as well. I figure there is a detent on that rod that goes into the door that is worn out. And my back driver side door, is tight. I have to really give it a push to close it fully.

This should be the part here.

I know it's an outrageous amount for this door check part. The cheapest I have seen it is about $100. As for the tight door problem associated with the hinges I have drilled holes in them as another poster has suggested and had 95% -100% success.
