Default hello new here

hello lexus people. yes i have used the search and it really didnt help.

i have an 08 is250 and need rear tires. guy at a local shop showed me 275/35r18's and said they are good to use. stock as we know is 255. i know these may be a little fatter but would it be good to go?

does the extra 20mm really make a huge difference?

thanks in advance,

d9mda

I know people on the IS-F board run the rears with 275/30/19 tires. So I'm pretty sure it should be fine. Try using a tire calculator to see if 275/35/18 would work

Here you go

Overall Diameter: 25.57 in 649.47 mm <- 275/35/18

Overall Diameter: 26.03 in 661.16 mm <- 255/40/18

stock size i believe is actually 245/40/17. with that in mind, you should be going with a 275/30/18.

Stock is 245/45/17

I believe the 275/35/18 would work fine. Keep in mind you are increasing rolling resistance, 20mm is kinda a big deal in tire world. Should fit ok on the stock 8.5" wheels.

You will actually decrease the sidewall width so you may have more wheel gap.

If you had a IS350 I would say that def go with the bigger cuz it will help with tire spin, but thats not really an issue

What's a "good deal"?

These will give you outstanding performance for a pretty good price in stock size:
