You may want to wait a few weeks on that enclosure. I'm lending my car to my friends that own Audio Integrations to build a mold for their next "perfect fit" enclosure. They build really nice enclosures! You can check out their work at audiointegrations.net. The owners are some of the most talented installers/fabricators I've ever seen! Check out their site and I think you'll agree.

run your stock speaker and amp, and tune the sub to where it is not completely over powering, how much bass you have is all personal preference. i like alot so i would tune it to where there is more than usual.

Soo anyway to clerify this up

PORTED BOXES = LOUDER / can be pushed harder

SEALD BOXES = LESS LOUD..BETTER SOUND QUALITY

Good enclosure. Pricey, but looks like it will fit your purposes. Any ideas on an amp? A 500 watt amp would be about right.

i did not remove my stock sub, i feel that if i do, i lose the integrity of the car as a brand new car as a whole. but that's just me, it WOULD allow more bass into the cabin, but whenever i want to do this, i just fold down my rear center seat.

what is better sealed ? or ported???
for a competition sub like a 12w7, in most cases, i would say sealed, BUT for the w7, i would go with a ported to allow more air into the enclosure, as w7's are known to blow mainly in sealed enclosures due to inadequacy with the enclosure itself. the w7 has so much SQ, that putting it into a sealed enclosure wouldn't make a difference in terms of quality, you'd want more SPL. In short, go with a ported enclosure.

How very OCD of you. What do you set the bass level to on your stock HU? Can you hear the stock sub getting in the way (i.e. rattling, throwing the bass quality off, etc.)? How do you control the sub's bass level?
