Hey guys, recently I realized that my headlights are not bi-xenon. On the website it says that 08 and 2010 IS250's with Nav package have these headlights while base is just halogens. My IS250 is 2009 and I was wondering if I am supposed to have Bi-xenons too with my Nav package.

Do you have hid's at all?

 

HID's come with the luxury package, not with nav.

 

IS doesn't have bixenons.


does your headlights autoadjust when you turn on your HIDs?

 

easiest way to check if you have hid: Goto your car, do not start the engine but just turn on the lowbeams, goto the headlites and stand near the front of the fender while on the side of the car, do you hear a buzzing sound *like bee's*? If you hear the buzz you have HID, if you dont hear the buzz you dont have HID.

 

My 08 has bi-xenons and states so on the sticker.

 

Both the 08 and 2010 have Bi-Xenon™ High-Intensity Discharge (HID) headlamps and Adaptive Front Lighting System (AFS) that come with the Navigation Package. I know my car doesnt have HID's because I compared it to my bro's 08 IS250. I was just wondering if they skipped 09's on the HID's or if I should go ask my dealer why they didnt put it on my car.

 

There is the base model, navigation package, and then there is the luxury package (includes navi package plus hids, memory seats, and a few other things).

 

it isnt a standard accessory. if its not on your car its because you didnt pay for it. and they do change the packages from time to time. so one year it may be included in one package...but they might take it out the next.

 

yeah i guess your right, does anyone here have an 09 with Bi-Xenons? If not, I guess they skipped 09.

 

They didn't skip 09 it was an option. I think it was about 1-2k more than the navi package for the luxury package.

What else did the luxury package come with? Bc the dealer told me I got everything but mark levinson.

Just checked it out online, luxury package is pretty much same as premium but comeswith bixenon lights. I guess I didnt get that package, thanks guys.

 

It depends, many 09 models came without HIDs to decrease the MSRP price, but some of them did come with HIDS. The best way of find out if you have HIDs is if you follow llamaboiz's recommendation and hearing the ballast buzz.

Luxury package: Illuminated door sills, and in the back rear window there is a sun shade sort of thing. memory seats

Sport package: illuminated door sills,sport pedals, grey plastic center console. memory seats

*Those are easiest way to distinguish various packages


Premium package is fairly standard: Leather, wood,w/or without Navigation. HIDS were part of this package from 07-08.

 

since when did Lexus used Bi-Xenons??? we do have a hi-beam bulb
