i have the same problem after someone pointed it out for me. the inner side of my front driver's side is pretty worn down after 24k+ miles. an alignment (or camber) should level it out.

OK
Talked to the dealer. According to them, when my IS is in proper alignment, it will wear the inside edges of the front tires more rapidly. Also, mileage expectation on the stock Bridgestones is 15-25. So what I've experienced is normal.
I went with the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S Plus at the recommendation of the manager of the Discount Tire location I've used for years. In the past he has been spot on regarding tire suggestions on other "problem" tire vehicles I've had.
This model has a 45000 mile warranty. According to the Lexus dealer, I will never get near that on any tire I put on the front of the IS, so we'll see how well they hold up.
With road hazard, tax, and all the other fees... out the door at Discount Tire I paid $575.00 for the pair.
Initially, they are noticeably quieter and feel much smoother, the car actually seems to coast much freer than it did the Bridgestones.
Thanks for all the help and suggestions!

I have some F1 A/S on my car... loudest tire I have ever heard in my life. People who get in wonder if there is something broken.

My 07 IS350 had steel belts exposed on inner edge of both front tires at 18,000 miles replaced with PS2 & 4wheel alignment & my usual OCD tire pressure maintenance. Today with 16,500 miles they are bald on both outer edges on both front tires & it is not due to under inflation. I have never owned a car that I can't get even tire wear til this Lexus.

Just as a heads up I replaced my fronts with Michelin Pilot Sport A/S Plus. The sidewalls are stiffer than the RE050 oem. The ride is stiffer than I expected for Michelin tires.

I had the same problem with the tires as well. Wore it down to the cords at 19k ugh! Get it aligned when you have new tires put on. I bought my tirerack.com with a preferred installer. I think it would have gone with the P2 instead. Good luck

I hate bringing to life old threads but the same happened to me. Only difference was the thread peeled off like spaghetti and was beating up my wheel well. Funny thing was, it was only my front driver wheel. Others wearing normally...

Is this what we can expect everytime the tires start to wear. Every 30k new tires?

Mine lasted 9000 miles but yes the front drivers wore the fastest. My car is lowered on coils tho.
