Anything really but here in America, cars that usually have over 100,000 miles is considered high mileage but I know these engines can go further than that. I think it's interesting to see cars being pushed over 200,000+ miles and still run like new.

Wow we are really in a race cuz my 07 IS250 AWD has hits 245000 a few days ago. 4 new KYB struts just being installed. Plan to do the front diff. re-seal in Lexus dealer and some other maintenance like transmission/diff./brake fluid change, front ball joints, CV boot, and RR racing bushings will also be done this month.

Background: I got this car in April when it had 24300 miles @3200 USD. I understand that at this price it needs a lot of work. I decided to buy it when a mechanic confirmed that the engine and trans. are still good. The total money which has already been or will be thrown into this car by the end of 2019 is expected to be 6000-7000. If comparing with buying a better pre-owned IS250 at this price range, I think I could have an almost new suspension with this one. And maybe next year I can make a plan of some super cool brake caliper, depending on the sustainability shown by this car.

As an international student and getting paid from my university only for slightly over 1500 per month, I got a chance to get the first touch with luxury cars by buying this IS250. Looking forward to continuing the story with it and making a big modification on it after getting a job in CA. ^_^

06 IS250 251K miles.. Bought the car new from the dealer.
Haven't had any major issues with it. Confident it'll go 300K +

I am shopping for a 08+ GS350 with under 100K to replace it

mine 06 IS350 is 200,000+ km and still going but not w/o a few problems... need to replace radiator as soon as I have time, really slow oil leak in the back of the engine somewhere, have some tranny issue, I think whoever did the flush at Lexus didn't do a good job cuz tranny won't shift properly when its warmed up and it was fine before the flush...

Default 07 IS250 running 214,xxx miles

Sluggish as **** , loss of power , runs ok , no check engine lights , just added some Avid1 18s on it
no mods, k&n air mass filter
trying to figure out if I should get a tranny flush or any suggestions on how to keep it running normally
engine brake is crap , car jerks when coming to a fully stop car doesn’t really shift good as soon as I brake and hit the gas

Did you clean your butterfly valves? Take some carb cleaner and a toothbrush, it should make your engine respond better.

I just sold my 06 bought new by the wife with nearly 200k on it. The first time I tried to sell it I cried after I detailed it and took another 6 months with it . Got 7500 for it. We just dumped our two beakers an M2 sport and X5d and replaced them with 2014 IS 250 40 k and a RX 350 with 90 k my advice if you have a hundred twenty K plus start thinking O2 sensors. If it’s been well maintained and mid or premium gas you cat should be fine. Some where around 70k my wife she’s at the dealer and she’s scared to drive it home as dealership told axles seals we’re leaking Both sides I told her stay right there I’m on the way and tell them I’m gonna want it on the and see for my self. They changed their time by time I got there the grease boots ripped at some and it was the grease.
Btw the beamers were her idea not mine but when her dream car the 2015 M sport stalled dead on the freeway and she was in panic praying to god to save her life. She’s filipino also a Doctor of Physical therapy and when she went to BMW in 06. They denied her a test saying she’s not afford one yet and she ended up with 45k new Lexus.

2008 IS250
Got it from a Lexus dealer in 2012 with 33k. Transmission went out in 2018 at 158k, mechanic found one with 35k on it and got the whole thing swapped for $2900. Currently have some kind of MAF sensor issue, but other than that she's still going strong. Coming up on 190,000.

Default High mileage IS250

I have a 09 IS250. I have about 211,xxx miles right now. I’ve done all of the preventative maintenance through the dealership (needed a loaner and no time to work on her myself) she runs great! I’ve done the normal things that break down over time, but other than that it’s been a wonderful vehicle to have. Right now I have a dead TPMS sensor(s), but other than that it’s been great.

2006 IS350 214,000 miles and still going strong! Amazing Lexus/Toyota reliability. Recently changed trans oil and gasket, doing water pump soon.

Current problems: oil consumption but thats a known issue, CEL on for P0430/420, door locks sometimes freak out.

But starts everyday and gets me around!!

Wow. Nice . How’s the transmission feel after the fluid change ( I’m assuming that’s the first change since new) .

175k now on my 08 350. No issues currently. Thinking a cat replacement may be soon though (I'm guessing anyways), noticed a firework-like smell under mid to high acceleration that tends to linger for a minute or so that I've never noticed before.
