Default touch screen broken... part number?

Hey guys... unfortunately my touch screen in my IS350 no longer works... and from what I have read it needs to be replaced... my question is... is there a part number for just the screen? I have heard that its $2400 to replace the whole unit but it just seems that the screen is the part that isn't working... I know when I take it to the lexus dealer that they are going to tell me $2400 so I just wanted to know if there was anyway around this.

And it really sucks because I am 5k miles out of warranty...

Any help would be appreciated.

Hey if there is no damage to the screen perhaps you should contact Lexus.

I have had luck getting no charge repairs when just out of warranty.

I would go to your dealer first and see what they say.

If you're still in warranty I would definitely go to the dealer.

i fudged up my nav unit not too long ago trying to to the hack, so I had to order a whole new unit.

Which means I have an extra, perfectly good touch screen just layin around I could part with on the cheap.

Lemme know...

dude your my savior... can you just send the screen? Is that even possible?

I will PM you.

Also... how much did the whole new Nav unit cost you if you don't mind me asking... I have been hearing anywhere from $2500 to $8000. I would like to know what the real number is.

I was able to pick up an entire nav unit with radio for $840 on ebay. but that was just a fluke.

They go for 2000-3000 usually, and I havent seen one for under that since.
