DRL completly seperate bulb on 2009 250 AWD?
My first post...Don't kill me because I did do a search and couldn't find anything. So I have replaced my lows and fogs with HID 6000k's and the yellow DRL's drive me nuts but didn't want to go HID with highs so I had some Cool Blue Sylvania's lying around and tried those well while changing them out I noticed the DRL's are actually a completely different bulb and not the high beam at "half" power and they stay on even when you turn on the high beam! Anyone know what this bulb is and if there is a LED replacement for it? I would like to keep the DRL's if possible but get rid of the yellow! Thanks and looking forward to learning more for this forum. Its been a great help so far!

take a pic and show us which u mean.. there are 2 lights in the high beam housing.. on is the parking lights/city lights and one is the highbeam in the center
the one which is on the top corner is the parking lights which can be changed to LED and your DRL would still be yellow

Andre,
I looked up city light/parking lights and it is the one up to the upper side of the housing not the highbeam in the center. I see its a 168 bulb. DRL's are not turned on mine I guess, never have been. Thanks!
Now off to order a replacement for it!

daytimes are the 9005 bulb, this turns on when your lowbeams are off. when your lowbeams are on, the city lights turn on. this is a 168 bulb in the same compartment as your highbeams. the holder can be twisted off then the bulb can be pulled off.
