Cool Yellow fog vinyl overlays?

hi everyone! I'm new to this forum, and I just got my '07 starfire pearl IS250. I don't really know that much about this car modding stuff, but I was thinking of putting yellow fog vinyl overlays, but I'm afraid that if I don't want them anymore.. it won't come off

should I get them or would 3k fogs be my best bet? thanks everyone!

If you are not sure what you want or don't know if you are going to like the yellow fogs, I would say take the cheapest route possible and that is yellow overlays. I have not tried myself, but they are supposed to come off easily with a heat gun or hair dryer. Maybe someone else can confirm....

depends. if you want your fogs to look yellow only when you turn them on then get bulbs, but if you want them to be yellow even when your lights aren't on then get overlays.

Taking off an overlay is simple to do, although you will need some sort of agent to remove the residual glue (Think "Goo Gone"). There are a couple CL members that have installed Aerotect's yellow vinyl overlay - a search will bring them up.

The overlays come off easily. Just use simple alcohol wipes to remove the glue residue. No heat gun or Goo-Gone necessary.

Gongrats and welcome! Cheapest route is yellow overlays and they are fairly easy to remove as others have said.

Welcome to CL as well. Get the yellpw ovelays from aerotect, you won't regret it. Post some pics when you're done.

I've got Rvinyl yellow overlays on my Tungsten Pearl IS. Very easy to put on. I used the dry method although many use the wet method. Your choice.

I went with the optic blue overlays from Aerotect, pretty happy with the results and looks pretty good on starfire pearl IMO

applied using the wet method, I think this is the better method to be able to align it properly

for comparo purposes

I've got the optic blue as well and am very happy with it. I just installed Garax 6000K HID lows. Unfortunately, the Garax bulbs do not match as well with my PIAA Extreme White Fog bulbs as they did with the stock HID's. The PIAA bulbs now look very yellow in comparison when matched before with the stock bulbs, they matched better. (Stock HID's are yellowish to begin with)

I would like to possibly swap the PIAA's with a yellow bulb, BUT keep the Aerotect optic blue fog overlays.

Anybody know how that will look? Are yellow bulbs enough to give a solid yellow color beam or are the yellow overlays necessary as well? Which brand of yellow bulbs are best?
