My winter set up 19s vs summer set up 20s

 

fitament quesiton.. IS250 AWD

i have a set of 19x9 +31 and 19x10+24
is 225-35-19 and 245-35-19 a safe fitament.. I've been getting 50/50 yes and no's

my old set up was
19x8.5 +40 and 19x10+48 with 235-35-19 and 265-30-19 which i think is ok fitament.

But I just had to replace my front Diff and driver axel at 37k miles!! I don't want to mess anything else up so I want to be cautious.. I also just raised my car up 1.25 inches.. i just to have NO wheel gap now I'm pretty high off the ground.

 

No that's not a safe fitment for an AWD. You need the same rolling diameter all around. Just so you know, you would also have stretched tires with that setup. Figure out what size tires you can fit, and then punch them into a tire calculator to make sure the diameters are in check. Honestly you should check yourself so you have peace of mind knowing that you checked the work. How high were you from the ground to fender before, and currently? Your current set up is aggressive and is going to be much more annoying than your past setup.

 

Is it possible to put my old tires onto this set up?? 235--35-19 and 265-30-19? if not do u know what would work?

 

Rears will still be stretched. The tires are .22 inches different in terms of overall diameter. A lot of AWD members ran that tire setup and said they were fine, but since you had a problem with it, idk if you should continue to run it. Also do you have any fender work done on the car? You're definitely gonna need it with the wheels/tire setup...

 

no fender work yet... but i do have camber arms already installed

 

I think you should still run the 225/35/19 and 265/30/19 for the AWD!

These... but I took them off today cuz the rear tire size scares the **** out of me... have my WORKS back on now...

 

I plan on purchasing vossen CV3s in 20" and right now I'm lowered on the stock settings for the megan EZs

What modifications do I need to make, if any? I do not want any wheel gap (obviously) but because I'm in the army i move around a lot so I haul a lot of junk in the back seat and the trunk.

im planning on buying a used set of 20" rims with tires:

20x8.5
offset: +32
245/30/20

20x10
offset: +35
265/30/20

will this setup work? will the tires fit?

@gcomme2. not sure what offset i have. but that tire size is not gonna work!
your AWD light is gonna show up!

you need to have the same rolling diameter.
i have been running:
front: 245/30/20
rear: 285/25/20

thats the closest rolling diameter. i have had that setup for over a year now with no problems what so ever!

can I run 225/35/19 & 245/35/19 or 235/35/19 on my awd? The car is lowered on Road magnet springs (2' drop) and looking for a mild stretch nothing too crazy.

19X8.5 +20 mm
19x9.5 +25 mm
