i have is350 and i went to toyota dealership to get oil change but they didnt know which filter to use. so which toyota car can i tell them so they know which filter to use?

The Filter is No. 04152-YZZA3. See attached link. I believe it also fits the Avalon. However, have your Toyota dealer order the Toyota PN I listed. It's really odd that a Toyota dealer didn't know the correct oil filter PN. I'm sure they have access to more tools than I have. It took me all of 2 minutes to find the correct PN

You know the two Toyota dealerships I went to both told me I had to go to Lexus to get the filters..damn parts advisors.

I have my three Lexus's serviced at Toyota dealers all the time, can't believe the parts guys can't cross check a Toyota filter!! Your two dealerships are out to lunch!!

The YZZA2 also fits, but had stuff you don't need with it. I got the A2s from my Toyota dealer in '06. At that time there was no Toyota using the A3, so I'm not so sure about the 05-06 Avalon using the same filter at the 2GR and 4GR engines in the Lexus line.

Yeah, that's what I was told by Toyota when I bought my A2s.
