Installed Tanabe TEAS...now Alternator issue...please help!
 

Hi,

I just got the Tanabe coilover w/ TEAS controller installed on my 2008 IS350 today, however, I ran into an issue.

The TEAS instruction manual requires the output between 13.5v-15v for the module to function properly. Once the module was installed, the module read the output of 13.33v, and my mechanic's snap-on gauge read 13.41v and shows LO (as in low output). So I took this to Lexus dealership, and they told me that everything passed and the output was at 13.5. I had the mechanic talk with the Lexus service guy, and the Lexus guy kept saying that the alternator is charging just fine, and threatened that any aftermarket parts installed on the vehicle will void the warranty (which I know it's not true). So right now, the module is not working because of low voltage.

The mechanic also disconnected and re-connected the battery, and it worked for couple of times, but after that the voltage was too low once again.

Can someone please help me out with this issue? Thanks a lot for the help!!

Have you tried a new battery?

No I didn't try a new battery, because the mechanic tested the battery and said that it was good. Is there any other possibilities?

I have my Tein EDFC and have no problems here. You might want to check the wiring.

Possible thing is it is defective or the wiring is wrong.
