thats a harder question to answer than what it looks like. I have every bolt on, wheels, and many other mods and I take care of the car more than almost any person who has a stock IS. I sold my previous car with many mods and it was in better condition (engine, etc) than almost any other car on the market.
If its an IS it wouldnt be too bad to buy it used even if its modded, but if it was an STI, prally not

It really depends. I could buy it modified and part it out to make some money that is if the car is not abused. Other than that stock is the way to go.
