Default Made my tire decision: Toyo Proxes T1-R. Need Opinions

So I decided on going with the Toyo Proxes T1-R all around for my 2IS. I called my local les schwab (local chain in the NW) and got quotes $1060 installed. I think I'm gonna call and see if they'd throw in an alignment as part of the deal. Is this a good deal?

good choice, love my Toyo T1r too!

1060 for 18"?? that's too expensive..unless the installation is $200...

If you don't really care about performance..i recommend Fk452...best bang for the buck...

Thanks....I'll look around some more then. I'm debating getting them online but it's hard to find Toyo dealer's that look reputable?!

Now I'm debating going with the Toyo Proxes 4. It's an all season and I live in Portland Oregon so might be better. Any opinions on them?

I used to run Proxes 4s and loved them, but I have no idea how they do in other seasons. If money isn't an object and you're looking for an all season tire, look into Michelin PS2's or Bridgestone Pole Positions

I have the T1r's and they are to me one of the best all around tires. there are better handling tires but they wont ride as good, there are better more comfortable tires but they arent as grippy. its the best of both worlds. FOR THE PRICE I dont think there are better all around tires performance/grip/threadwear/wet etc

$1060 is pretty expensive. you may wanna give discount tire a call. the last time i changed my tires, most les schwabs in my area quoted higher prices than discount tire.

Yea, I called discount tire but they said they don't sell Toyo tires. I hate les schwab though. They are super expensive. I'm debating going over the internet but it's an extra $100 shipping and then I'll have to pay $100 to mount and balance them. Any suggestions?

You need to figure out:

1. What you want out of a tire.
2. How much you want to spend.

It seems to me money is an object, so start a list or something within your budget then decide from there on. If you started a thread that you decided on T1Rs then get it. Go look for the best prices, IMO $1060 is pretty good. I got quoted locally for $960 not mounted.

You're probably right. I decided on Toyo Proxes T1R's but the fact that les schwab has an agreement to be the only seller of them complicates things and jacks up the price. I think I can get them shipped for close to $800 from tiredeals.net and then mounted for $100 at Discount tire. Might just go for that.
