Should I be worried? Overfilled oil by a bit

I was doing my second oil change on my IS250AWD and instead of buying one 5 quart jug and two 1 quart bottles like last time, I bought two 5 quart ones to save some money, plus it was on sale($20 for 5qt, Pennzoil Full Syn).

Anyway, the point is that it was a bit hard to judge how much I was pouring in...and once I stopped I realized that I put in about 6.9qt instead of 6.8 quarts. Should I be worried about that small of a difference?

Btw that's according to the notches on the jug. I checked the dip stick afterwards and it's about 1cm over the full line. Also I remember my car was a bit overfilled when I got it new..you can see it in my oil change guide.

I think I'll just drain some of it out through the filter housing, just to be on the safe side.

hmmm 1cm is actually quite alot over... i'd definitely drain some outta the oil filter...

Overfilling could cause some serious problems.... The crankshaft will churn the oil, causing aeration and possibly foaming the oil. Foamed oil is difficult (or impossible) to pump and could starve your engine. Aerated oil also overheats (burns) easily. Neither of these is good for your engine. :(

Something similar happened to me. My friends and i placed the O ring on the bottom when were closing the filter and it caused the oil to spill. After fixing the issue, we put in more oil. We put a total of 11 quarts in, because we had no idea how much oil leaked, (it seemed like a lot). Anyways after checking the dipstick it read 1cm above full.
My question is: Do I drain the oil thru the filter? or do i drain thru the oil pan? I only wanna take about half to a quarter quart.
I also used Mobil 1 5w-30 and my oil temp is running cooler than before, is that normal? This is my first time using synthetic oil.
btw- i driven over 300 miles already.

either one... but personally i think its easier from the filter. :) Caveat is there may only be about 1/2 qt in there at a time without cranking the engine.
