it depends on the dealer. if they have some take-offs laying around then it would be simple for them and should be a-ok, but if its something they dont have in stock and need to order it'll be more difficult. IMO keep the '09 wheels. At first I didn't like them, but they actually are unique and very nice. Down the road if you don't like them you should be able to easily find someone on here to do a straight swap with you.

Thanks for all the replies guys!
I have seen them in person and just don't care for them. One thing I don't like is that they have more of an "aftermarket" look. I'm trying to keep more of a clean/professional look since I'm in the business world, which generally means stock with no modifications.
I definitely would not want them to swap them for used wheels off an 08. I guess the main question I have before going in is whether dealers can still order the wheels from past model years, and whether they typically have a few set sitting in stock?

no.. at least it doesn't look like it to me. I see what you're saying, but I always found that those '08 rims bling like they're liquid metal chromeish type rims or something. they look like a darker than normal chrome metal, but seem to have similar effects as straight regular chrome rims when direct sunlight hits em. I've just never been a big fan of chrome rims in general.

I tried to do the same request last weekend because my gf was trying to get an 09' IS350, the saleman on that day want 1k above invoice. We walk away from him, and then they called 3 days straight to get us back to the dealer.
So now i wont deal with that salesman, but my regular salesman trying to get me back. So they're desperate, it might be possible for you to get that kinda of request.

I am looking to purchase an 09 IS w/ the 18" wheels as part of a package. I do not like the style of the 09 18" - would most dealers agree to put on the 08 18" instead? Do dealers still have access to past wheels to put on a vehicle? Would they have to take them from another (likely used) car on the lot, or do they usually have a few sets in stock?
Thanks guys!
Thanks guys!
