nav hack - does it work on the 09's?

just wondering if anyone has successfully done this to the 09's.. not doubting it will work, just wondering if anything was changed in the 09's that may affect the nav hack

Simple answer. Yes.

By nav hack are you referring to the hack to let you use the ML DVD player while driving, or are you referring to the ability to enter destinations while in motion?

I just got a new 09 and the fact i have to stop to enter a destination is annoying me. I was aware that they disabled the override in 07

The -software- override hasn't worked on anything but original 2006 vehicle firmware.

The hardware hack works on all models AFAIK

I read that the hardware hack only works for a very short period of time because in addition to the speed sensor, the nav disabler also is tied into the internal speed of the gps...so as soon as those satellites detect movement you are done.

Really? What happen if we get busted?

tags26 May 8, 2009 10:26 AM

By "you are done" i mean it just disables again. No one is going to "bust" you!

joeker May 8, 2009 11:00 AM

in the case that it disables again, can you just disconnected the negative terminal on your battery, put it back, and reset the hack?

ummm, not while driving...it disables again while driving.
