HELP. Just bought new wheels. THEY DONT FIT. HELP!!
The wheels are 19" with 235/35 tires on the front. 265/35 on the rears.
I sold them to a guy with a RWD IS250. I had these wheels on my AWD IS250. He took his car to Firestone and they say that:
1. The stock TPMS sensors don't fit
2. The front wheels and tires are too large to fit onto his car. They hit the upper control arm.
WHAT THE HECK DID FIRESTONE DO WRONG?
I can't understand any of this. The AWD's have less clearance in the front than the RWD's PLUS I had my AWD lowered with those wheels and tires and there wasn't even any rubbing then. I think Firestone screwed him. I forget the offset for those front ones, but I think it's +38 but the wheels are flush with the fender if that helps. Also, i think what firestone did was accidentally put the Rear 9.5" wide wheels on the front. they're stupid.

OK. I sold these wheels to a guy with a RWD IS250. I am pretty sure the offsets are +38 in the front. I know for a fact that the stock TPMS sensors do fit in these. So here is what the guy did:
He took the wheels to Firestone. They said that the TPMS sensors wouldn't work, and that the front wheels and tires are too big because they hit the upper control arm. But I know what these techs at Firestone probably did, when they pulled all the stock and aftermarket wheels and tires apart to switch out the TPMS they probably put the smaller 235/35 tire on one of the 9.5" wheels and tried to mount that to the front of the car. So they screwed up, I told the guy to have them check which wheel they mounted but he had already left Firestone and is going to try at another place.

Is there anyway possible for my AWD wheels to not work on this guy's RWD?? I didn't have any crazy offset or anything extremem on my AWD, ANDDD it was lowered, and it worked just fine.

The wheels themselves, they fit flush with the fender on my car. So whatever offset that is.... and that tells me that there should be a sufficient amount of space behind the wheel to clear all the suspension components. I mean, I had my car lowered and it still didn't hit anything. WHAT IN THE WORLD DID THE FIRESTONE GUYS DO WRONG TO SCREW UP THIS EASY TASK ON THAT GUY'S LEXUS??

Look, if anything, a wide wheel up front will hit the suspension components in the AWD first, we have a narrower clearance than the RWD up front due to our suspension.
Height limitations are the same, someone at firestone f--ed up

Isn't the RWD suspension about the same as the AWD but it just doesn't have the spindle running through to power the front wheels like the AWD has?

So, the first post you're posing as the guy with the wheels, and then later you're telling us the wheels are actually sold to another dude? WTF? Lul'z.
Secondly, I would've gone to a shop that deals with aftermarket stuff versus some chimp who changes 205/50/13's on Hyundai's all day long. Third, take the damn things in and keep 'em organized - supervise the install. "Hey dude, the 265's go on the 9.5" rim. Hey dude, the 235's go on the 8.5" rim."
Is that so hard?
