I have an Iphone 3G and is waiting for the release of the Slingmedia (Slingbox) app for the Iphone.
Q: can i watch TV on my NON-ML NAVI? Does anyone know this?
Also, if i get the Navi hack, can I technically watch TV while the car is in motion?

Yes but you will need to do the navi hack as well as get the Vaistech kit to get video to the navi screen.
I waited for this app too, but it sucks they are basically forcing you to upgrade the slingboxs...

The slingbox app will not work over 3G, its only for wi-fi. That kind of limits the use even if you manage to get video out working through the navi.
BTW, the iphone already supports video out through the dock connector. Heres an apple support link: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1454

If you have jailbroken your Iphone, there are ways to trick the iphone into thinking you are on wifi (so you can be on 3g instead) and to have TV out options but have no idea if it will be displayed on the navi

Are they really going to have a Slingbox app? Been hearing rumors for about a year. I just installed the Vaitech Sl2vi and I can watch my anime, and youtube video,pornhub off the navigation screen with the navi hack. Video quality is ok not great. (3gIphone) Other apps like Pandora /I heart Radio works with the Sl2vi too.
