Buying my 1st set of aftermarkert wheels, need advice
In a 3 weeks, I'm placing an order for my 1st set of aftermarket wheels. I'm choosing Work Schwert SC1 for my Starfire Pearl 08 IS250. these are a few questions I have:
I'm going to go with 19x8.5, 19x9.5 color is Machine silver Polish. Is this more shiny than the other color Crystal silver?
What offset should I shoot for? This is my daily driver. don't want to go conservative but I don't want to have many hassles with rubbing and so on. I will be on stock suspension until next year. So offset help would be appreciated.
Also which size tires would be recommended to keep it as closer to the overall diameter of OEM specifications?
These are the wheels:

Overall I am going for a nice look, that's a daily driver and would not cause a lot of problems. I think I will buy from D-2 as well. Are they a good vendor or would you go with someone else?

haha that was good. I saw your post and thought damn he's on something. If you could post or send some photos I would be in your debt. I am trying to make sure I order everything correctly because I do not want to regret my purcahse and then have to hear it from my wife.

no problem bro ill pm ya pics. But to answer your question i would get 19x8.5 and 19x9.5. If you dont want any rubbing issues get offests in the 30's. That should be semi aggressive and im sure you wont hear anything from ur wife. But like Phil888 said, get coils and you can go more aggressive without rubbing.

I ran a 19x10 +35 with 275/30's and rubbed a bit on H&R springs. I think with a little massaging, they could fit and would be pretty flush........not Super flush, but right there. I guess it also depends if you're looking for a stretched tire set up or running a wider tire for a bit more sidewall.

Assuming we werent stretching tyres or rolling fenders, and with an f-sport drop...how low could a guy go on the offsets of the schwert sc1 8.5/9.5 setup without rub then? The answer to the question is for me, but i think it would help the OP as well since he is planning to drop his car after all (i've been considering the sc1s myself for quite a while now)
