alright guys.....wheel set up PROBLEM!
 

Sooo...here is the deal. I am on the verge of gettin 20s for my AWD right! ok.....I am having different vendors tell me its ok to go with staggered and that it is NOT good to go with a staggered fit. WHAT DO I DO. Im kinda torn because I want the big lip but then I have a feeling that the tires would wear out quicker because you can't fully rotate the tires around the vehicle.

Can you use a staggered fit on the AWD or will it just **** up the car? Ill take all the suggestions as possible and if so please tell me why its ok/not ok. Thanks

yes you can go staggered...:) the diameter needs to be the same front/rear. The tire size will correct this;) Many on here are doing it with the IS and the GS. See the Red IS from D2 and what he is running on his 250 AWD:)

If a big lip is all you want Asanti has just come out with their ELT series rim that come anywhere from 7"-12" lips on that series of rims. They are pricey but its a good way to get a big/huge lip on your car! Im not saying I think it would look amazing on the IS but its an option, esp. one thats never been done...

damn 20's u guys are nuts..maybe its because it's nuts to have 19's in jerseyy haha. staggered depends on wheel size/tires..n u got the height on the awd, the springs do enough to make this sit nice?..sounds sickkk :)

As long as both the front and rears are 20", the width size doesn't matter if its staggered or not. go for it!

im lowered but only on the f-sport springs so height shouldn't be a problem. Im not so sure a 7-12" lip would look good on our cars maybe a more exotic car where you can have huge tires. Im goin with the mrr gt1 i just need to know about this staggered fit.

you can stagger the rims, same diameter in rims but different widths. suck as 8.5 and 9.5 widths. in doing this you will need to buy tires that have the same overall diameter.

such as tires that are 225/35 front and 275/30 rear. the rolling diameter between these two tires are .1%

i guess the best solution is 225/35 and 265/30??

Yea what is best for 20's? 35 or 30 series tires? if I went with a 235 wide tire?

i was told by a vendor to do 245-35-20F AND 285-30-20R............the overall diameter of the front is 25.78 in and the rear is 25.61 in. The front tires are within 3.1% and the rear are within 2.5% diameter difference of the stock tires. So therefore, the spedometer will be off 1.9mph in the front and 1.5mph in the rear. Now, is this legit?

don't look in terms of the front and rear tires being off from the stock tires.

you want all 4 tires both front and rear to have the same rolling diameter or atleast very close. a few percent is ok but i like to be spot on.

when i compare the front tire size and the rear tire size i get a rolling diameter of .1% difference from your front and rear tires. these tires can work on your rims but i don't know if you'll end up rubbing.

will a 295 tire work? or is that just to big?

^ 295 will work but what size rim are you going to go with.

295/25-20 is an option. I dont believe any one makes a 295/30-20 off the top of my head.

I believe if you go with 295/25-20 rear you need 255/30-20 "or" 245/30-20...but this again all depends on the rims you get. If you are going with a 295 in the rear I think you need to be 20x10.5 or 20x11 or it will be overkill.
