Default Torque specs: IS350 differential - fill and drain bolts

Afternoon, all.

Searched the DIY, 'differential', 'gear oil', my owner's manual and cannot find the bolt torque specs for the IS350 rear diff. Anyone know if it is the same (39ft lbs) as the IS300?

I've got my 10mm allen socket adapter and 2QTs of RP ready to go. Just need to the bolt torque specs.

The drain and fill plug is 36 ft. lbf. Straight from the service manual.

You'd think after doing this on several vehicles over many years, you'd get used to the smell. Nope, still makes me gag if I catch a face full.

I keep expecting the Royal Purple to smell like grape juice. Dissapointed every time

Took a bunch of pics whilst doing the change. Haven't seen a DIY yet for the 350. Any interest in having me post it up?

Why are you guys bothering to waste the time and money to do this? The service schedule only calls for it on vehicles with LSD, which none of us IS350 guys have. If you have an IS250AWD it's a different story.

Personal reasons. Plus knowing the fact that I can do it and put synthetic fluids puts me at ease and peace of mind. Any kind of moving parts will wear over time period.

Changed mine and a buddy's car, all around 30k. I found a lot of metal particles on the magnetic drain plug. Probably from the break in period. Just my 2 cent.

Because I enjoy it. And to quote another poster:

I've got a great pic of the drain plug on mine (at only 18K) and it is covered in gunk and metal particles, 2-3mm thick. More closer to the tip. It'll be posted with the DIY.

No problem. I'll get it posted up this weekend.

There was actually a very good IS300 DIY that I used as a reference (which is why I was looking for the bolt torque specs for the 350). I'll pretty much be putting mine together following that owner's format. It was quite concise, and the picture angles good.
