Default Toyota Conventional Oil to Synthetic Oil?

I been going to the Dealership to get my oil change, and by the look on the receipt it shows that they had use Toyota conventional oil. Their is a deal going on with Advance Auto Stores 5-Qt Quaker State Full Synthetic Motor Oil + Purolator Classic Oil Filter for $9.99 .

Is this a high quality brand (the oil filter as well) and will switching conventional oil to full Synthetic be a problem? My IS is a 07 with about 124,xxx miles on it.

I would stick with the OEM filter, switching to full synthetic should be fine, I like Mobil 1 and have been using it for many years with no problems.

Quakerstate is a high quality synthetic. It is made by Shell which also makes Pennzoil. Honestly, any oil in the right grade will perform very well. Synthetic will just let you run the oil a little bit longer and have better startup flow in frigid locations. You can run synthetic at your mileage.
