Default Can anyone offer an explanation for this?

Car: 2006 IS250 RWD
So I want to pick up a pizza. I was in there for maybe 20 minutes or so because they had to remake it. When I came back to my car, all of my windows were partially down. Initially I thought maybe someone broke in but as I was looking around everything was intact. Ok so I start my car and roll up all my windows from the driver's switch like normal. I'm looking around and everything seems normal but then I notice that the gear shift light is out. It stayed out the entire way home (maybe 15 minutes). Ok, so I get home and I turn off the car and then start it again and now the gear shift light is back on. Any thoughts on what's happening here?

The windows down part was likely from holding the unlock button on the key fob for a few seconds, probably in your pocket or something.

Agreed. Same thing happened to me back when the car was new. The feature where you can hold the unlock button on the key fob to open the windows is an LPS (Lexus Personalized Setting) that can be disabled by the dealer or by anyone with Techstream software. Which I did many years ago.

The gear shift light has nothing to do with it. That one is probably just a loose connection or a bad bulb.
