Garax works fine, but they don't look very nice imo. just something about them =\. but ive been using garax for a month now and it works. no problems.

I have the Garax 6000K on my car right now they are not bad but I wanted to try something New. I actually have two sets of Bulbs that are on its way from Japan right now. They are the:

Phillips 5000K D4S

and

PIAA 5500K D4S

I am gonna test them out and see which one I like the best. And then I might be selling the set that I do not want. Keep you all posted.

Those with V-HID D4S bulbs... still working fine so far?

(I have 5000K D2S on my Prelude with bixenon projector retrofit and I think the color is perfect, so I'd like to stick to 5000K on the Lex if possible. Since Garax doesn't make 5000K I'm looking at other options. V-HID seems like too good a deal to pass up but need to hear some experience about longevity.)

So if price wasn't a concern, what's the best bulb? There doesn't seem to be much of a consensus on this thread. Garax or Oracle perhaps?

 

I ordered XenonDepot 6000K bulbs on Monday since my passenger side went out over the weekend. The bulbs should be here by Thursday (regular shipping).

Just wondering, how satisfied are people with the XenonDepot bulbs (2nd gen) so far? Also, how is the actual light output (not color) compared to OEM HID?

 

hey BounceNY. I purchased a set of the same bulbs from XenonDepot. Please take pics when you have them installed. I will do the same when I have them. I had a pair of Garax 6000k installed and one bulb would go out when i turn on my low beams. Weird, but they did look nice when then were both on for the first 5 - 10 seconds.

Its tough to find a good set of D4S bulbs....

 

Sure no problem. That's odd to hear about the Garax, how long have u had them before the one stopped working?

 

hey bounce. had them on for 3-5 minutes ? maybe its a bad set. Would not be suprised with my kind of luck. i am returning it back to the vendor and getting a new set from XenonDepot. I hope it works for more than 3-5 minutes =)

 

To bouncieny and funnie..i just installed mine last saturday and i will post some pics from my camera phone...i want to compare your picture to mine...coz i feel like its too blue for me...6K..and i lost some light out put for sure...and sometimes i feel like that my car looks like those pick up truck here in LA with HID... i was thinking that my bulb is still new thats why its kinda too blue for me..but i wanted to see your pix..

 

Ok, no problem. I will take a pic of one headlight OEM and one 6000k in one pic. I'm outta town now, but should be able to install and take pics on Saturday. Is it a hint of blue like Acura's or blue like you might get pulled over?

 

i got the v-leds 6000k. its been a week and still going strong haha

 

you be the judge, thank goodness i have 3k fogs that helps alot...but when i turned off..you'll see the difference...i hope my eye get used to it...

 

i will take pics of the 6000k ds4 bulbs installed when i get them from xenon depot. i hope its not too blue. they should be white. the garax set looked white in person, but when i took a pix with my iphone, it looked blue...
