Default Quick tire stretch question

I have a quick question for the 2IS tire stretched gurus that have an aggressive stretched setup. For 19x10 +24 on the rear, is it possible to run 255/35 or do I need to go 245/35? I'm going to have the fenders shaved. Same question with a 19x10.5 +23 setup.

Edit: Forgot to mention that I'm dropped on Tein CS dropped about 85% of the way.

Thanks,
Noz

Where are all the Stretch Armstrongs at? Well... there's probably only about 4 on the 2IS forum, but in anycase, I'd appreciate your help.

Thanks in advance,
Noz

I'm running a 245/35 on a 19x10. This will give you an idea.

Thanks for the pic iSuxeL. Looks like 245/35 on a 19X10 isn't that bad of a stretch at all. But I was wondering if 255/35 would work on the setups I mentioned in the OP. I have 255/35 on my current wheels and I was wondering if I would be able to use those or if I have to buy new tires.

Thanks,
Noz

really depends on how low you want to go.

255/35 on a 10 isn't much of a stretch AT ALL..

That's the thing.. I want to go with the least stretch as possible. I deal with atleast 12,332 dips/pot holes/cracks/metal plates/bumps everyday so I wanted to see if I can get away with a bit more rubber.

Here's a pic of how low I am. I'll lower it a bit more if needed.

Thanks,
Noz

Edit: Actually, that link will help out a lot when in the future when I need to choose which brand to go with. Thanks.

if you're not going to be lower than the picture you just showed, 245/35 would work, 255 probably wouldnt work because 10 +24 is pretty aggressive.

Thanks johnnyboy. You are the king of 2IS stretch without bags. Sorry to bug you but I got one more question. If I go lower, would it fit better because of the camber or would it cause me to need to stretch more?

10 +24 is pretty aggressive for the 2IS so even with the shave, I think 255/35 is already pushing it. That's why I had to ask if it'll fit. Thanks for your input though.

Honestly, you can go low but because we don't have camber kits, the natural negative camber is still not enough for our cars to clear. my last set of volks, which i ran 19x9.5 +17, which is equal to 19x10 +23, had some curbs on the lip because when i went up/down crazy driveways.. the lip would rub against the fender, so sometimes lower is not always good.

if you wanted it a good height you would still rub, i ran a 235/35/19 and when i went out of normal driveways, my tire rubbed against the fender (which is shaved) and because of that i cant even see the "falken" words that were on my tires.

if you wanted something to not rub at all, you'd have to run a 235/35/19 on your 10, like mr. mark's setup, and you can't be THAT low or else say byebye to your lip. if you want to run 255/35/19, you're still going to rub if you are just barely lowered, same with 245/35/19, you will rub against your tires.

no matter what.. you're going to rub.. its just the amount of it that you can put up with. but you gotta pay to have aggressive rims!

Hmmmmm... this is more of a tuffy then I expected. So it's pretty much choosing which crappy way you can deal with the best. Would rolling on top of shaving help solve some of the problems? Or would that just creat more of a headache cus the fenders would be to thin? There's always the cracking paint too. If I just run 235 with my height, it'll prob eliminate most of the problems huh since I'm not as slammed and Mr.Mark. But then again, I have to deal with crap roads so I want the tires to be a bit wider. Crap

after reading this has cause me hella concerns. I just recently purchase a set of iForged Essens 19x8 and 19x10 from one our fellow members here on CL. The tires are 235/35/19 for the fronts and 275/30/19 in the back. And im currently drop on Tein CS. So after reading this I will rub for sure?
