Default Does your Rear defroster work like this?

I have had 2 opportunities to use my rear defroster and I have to say that it is not working like all my other cars. First of all there is a section on the drivers about 1/3 down from the top that doesn't defrost during the initial defrost time. It is about 3"-4" in width. Secondly, the top 3"-4" also don't defrost before the defroster automatically turns itself off. These 2 areas do eventually clear when I activate the defroster a second time. The area that does not defrost initially is exactly where the dealer taped the temporary paper license that is required to be displayed on the rear window until a sticker comes from the state to put on the license plate.

I'm not sure about the area where you dealer taped the temporary tag, but be aware that the top sets of wires on the rear window are the radio antenna, not defroster elements.

This is an odd problem that has occurred with some CL members. I would take it to the dealer.
