Looking for info on 17" winter rim/tire setup for IS350
I am looking to know what setups will work with a 17" rim for an IS350.
Rim width / offset. Tire sizes. I would prefer to go non-staggered if possible but any advice would be much appreciated.

The reason I am posting is because I want to know exactly what people HAVE DONE.
It seems like no IS350 owner has ever put a 17" rim/winter tire on or if they have will not post exact specs. For instance will a 17" steel rim fit? Brake clearance is a big issue that the IS250s don't have to worry about.
I have asked around the tire shops here and no one seems to know for certain what will fit in 17".
If your an IS350 owner and drive in the winter with 17" rims please post your setup.

I hope I don't come off as a jerk, but I found this post.

As for me, I have the same winter setup. Picked it up from a member here for a fair price earlier in the year and I'll be giving it a go for my first winter since moving to Denver.

I know most of you out there just use the 18" wheels with winter tires for winter, and just get bigger/better rims for summer.
Don't worry Zender, I'm with you on this one. I'm on the same boat as you.

I don't remember offsets as the setup was on my last IS. The wheels were NON staggered sport edition 17" x 7

So I went and asked at Kal-Tire around here how much for a setup.
18" Winter Tire Blizzaks around $1650 Cdn after tax.
17" Winter Tire Blizzaks + cheap 17" rims $2100 Cdn after tax.
Seems like a lot. They said there was really no cheaper option. Thought? Suggestions?

Thats way too much! Sorry I didn't respond. Tire Rack should be able to get you a set for around $1000 US mounted and balanced. However, they charge a crap load for the TPMS sensors ($390). You can get a full set on ebay for $100. You could buy everything separately and have a local shop mount balance them. Then get em programmed at the stealer.

I used TireRack.
I got a set of four 18x8.5 Kazera KZ-A's (Flat black finish--goes well with my silver car ). The tires are Dunlops (225/40VR-18 Dunlop SP Winter Sport 3D on the front, and 225/45VR-18 Dunlop Winter Sport M3 XL in the rear).
Because of the staggered setup on the IS350, I opted to go with two different but compatible model Dunlops in an effort to retain the rolling circumference as close to stock as possible. This was TireRack's recommendation.
I purchased four TPMS sensors from Sewell Lexus online through CL. My local dealer installed sensors, mounted/balanced/bolted rims and tires. I use the winter setup five months out of the year. They've helped to make my midwestern winters uneventful, something I never thought I'd be able to experience with a RWD sport sedan.

Anyone have any links to TPMS on eBay that will work on an 06 IS350?
BTW I checked tirerack and yes they are cheaper by a few hundred on the 17" setup even after shipping. The problem with tirerack is to get it to my door I have to add $600 shipping and customs charges
For a 17" setup were any extra parts needed? The guy at Kal-Tire was talking about some hub rings or something to make it 'hubcentric' whatever that means.
