Default Secret Menu question

I have an 06 IS350 w/ML.

I also had the DVD changed to fix the problem with showing the wrong location. Current DVD version is 5.01

Does the secret service menu not work with the replacement DVD?

Or am I doing the input for the secret menu wrong?

As far as I know its Menu>Volume>tap upper left, lower left, upper left, lower left.

I do this and nothing happens..

Tried three cycles of upper left/lower left..also nothing. Does the car have to be in on/acc/running?

What I am really after is to see if there is a TPMS programming setting in the secret menu? I replaced on sensor and the tire shop couldn't get it programmed..would like to do it myself if possible without a trip to Lexus

So if you can help figure it out it would be appreicated.

the secret menu that you are talking about, you lost it when you upgraded the disk it was only available on the 06's

As far for programing the tpms, you will need to take it to the dealer to program it, there is no way that you can do that. I just hope you wrote down the ID number of the sensor, other wise they will need to take the tire apart again

That menu was mostly use to override the ability to input addresses while driving, if you want that you can do a hybrid disc, thats what other members did. They have the new maps with the override menu.
You can take it to the toyota dealer some will do it, some will not. Just ask!!! you have nothing to loose

My Toyota dealer did it no problem. I did have my tires mounted & balanced there, TPMS installed & programmed. All for $99 plus tax, I was really happy with their service. The place I went to is known to have a great service dept. so it all depends I guess.

Well I got the TPMS reprogrammed today at Lexus of Portland. I had the serial number of the new sensor so the only thing they had to do was plug in the scan tool and input the new code. Cost $60! What a rip off! But the problem is fixed..and I got a FREE bottle of water out of the waiting room cooler..

Not true. The secret menu is still there. However, the nav override button is no longer available on 07-08 models, as well as all upgraded nav discs.
To enter the "diagnostic" service menu, see below.

the only thing useful in that menu is the ability to adjust the mic volume, he was asking if in that menu he could program the TPMS, which is not possible
