Dude, my scratch got fixed! I went to a good body shop in my area and talked to the owner. He said this was something that could be buffed out. I watched and they took a floppy plastic thing (possibly a wet sander?) and gently rubbed over it. Then they took some paste (I assume polish) and took a huge buffer and gently buffed it out. Looks like new and I didn't even get charged.

I'm happy now
