so i finally got my LED's (5smt's from vleds, recommended by llama ) and got them installed. i have to say, it took me an hour to install simply because of the driver side headlight with cables and the washer fluid tube blocking the way. of course i didnt remove either instead i only removed the engine covers and the the fuse/wire box cover (which didn't do anything, i dont even know why i bothered.). eventually got it in and kabam! they look great. it's still bright out (well sortof) so i will take pictures when night falls

Yikes those pictures are horrendous. We get the idea though, no more yellow.

A digital camera would help, I assume those are from a cell phone.

I went with the 27 LED's on mine. I always found removing the washer fluid was easier than trying to fit my hand in that tiny place.

 

There is reason i suggest 5smt over the higher smt, if the person wants as close a match as possible to their hids, be it 4300k/6k/8k the 5smt will match all due to minimal light output and still look fantastic when compared to the higher number smt bulbs. Of course if you dont care about 'matching' then any type of SMT bulb will work. Vleds (who is a member here) uses a different type of bulb on his 2IS but its still a smt type, he himself claims "its the best and i've tried them all", i myself have no exp with 'his' bulb style so i cant recomend it to anyone as i wont recomend anything that i havent already tried myself... *whew long **** 'disclaimer' * I am a solid believer in his products thou
