How's this quote?

I'm getting quotes right now and am looking to buy within the next week, here's what I got:

Lexus IS 250 RWD (Automatic)
Premium Package only
Smoky Granite Mica exterior

The lowest so far is $30,200.

I'm in So. Cal.

premium package includes hids and 18 inch wheels? If so that is probably about the best you can get I think.

shinbrianj Jun 11, 2008 11:11 AM

i dont think premium includes the 18" rims, but every 2is ive seen comes with 18's except the awd, where in socal r u?

18" rims are part of X-Package.

I'm in West L.A., but might drive out to El Monte (Longo).

that's not bad..why dont fork out another 2k for navi+backup camera+bluetooth...

worth every penny IMHO:)

ek9vboi Jun 11, 2008 11:20 AM

18" wheels come standard in different regions. My friend bought a basic basic IS250 and it had 18" wheels.

If it has HIDs and 18" wheels, the deal seems to be right. Is 30,200 with TTT or no?

My friend got his for 31,XXX with TTT

Dogmeat Jun 11, 2008 11:21 AM

different 18 inch rims are part of the x-package actually. if you are looking at a is 250 premium with no hids or 18 inch wheels you could get the price down to 29,500 most likely. Just bought a IS 250 with nav recently so I got all sorts of recent price quotes.

I agree, especially since your making payments and you plan to keep the car.

shinbrianj Jun 11, 2008 11:22 AM

had a coupon for $750 off a new lexus but it says only for the person named on it :(

30,200 is without TTL. I was told to add about 10%....sounds right?

shinbrianj Jun 11, 2008 11:31 AM

yea the navi is definitely worth it imo, especially with the new law going into effect July 1 about cell phone use

10% sounds a lot. Just do the math, Tax percent in your area (6-7% in FL) and roughly 250 for a new tag/title.

30,200 x 6% + 250 = $32,262

Keep on beating up the dealer. I say go for the navi as well, its well worth it even if you dont need it. The bluetooth is awesome, I use it all the time. Oh yeah, when it comes time to resale it, value is much higher IMO.

Key word is payments, it won't be much more.

I know navi is a must for a lot of people, but I was looking for the most basic and can do without it. Plus, I might have given it more consideration if gas prices weren't at an all-time high (California has the highest prices).

Nav actually -hurts- resale value.

Nobody buying used cares if you paid $3000 for an OEM nav when they can spend $300 on a Garmin that does a whole lot more.
