So I don't know what to do. So many group buys, and keepin it real with the budget along with pacing myself. So I have 3 options for my IS350:

1. Get in on the group buy with the Tanabe Exhaust. Regular price- $760, Group Buy- $619

2. Buy the JoeZ intake along with the group buy of new HID bulbs (6000K). Regular- $218, Group Buy- $158 Also possibly get 50% tint on the front window if I don't have to buy that $50 HKS filter.

3. Buy the XM so I can hardwire it in. Since I got rid of my old car in November I've been paying monthly for XM still, lol... But o well. What I'm trying to say is I have current XM service. Just not XM in the Lexus yet.

 

my opinion buy the stuff in this order.

1. tananbe. think if you can save 150 now its like buying the bulbs or joez. plus the stock exhaust is so non-existant the tanabe looks perfect!
2. the xm receiver since your paying for it, but id cancel the service and get sirius. lol
3. hid bulbs. the discount has been around for a bit now. so maybe those can wait.
4. joez. sounds awesome. but unless your constantly flooring it, you wont really notice it.


i have all this stuff :-) and then some. my car is only 4 months old too!

I would suspend your XM service until you install either the OEM Tuner Box or an aftermarket receiver. Group buys will always save money and are worth it. As for the bulbs, check out ebay for your factory D4S swap out. I also recommend a 6000k.

 

If it was me, I'd go with the upgrade in the power dept and get the tanabe.

 

i would go drop, wheels, intake, exhaust, hid's then xm and ect.

but according to your list i would go for intake and hids and maybe xm if possible.

i just don't feel getting the exhaust alone is the first mod you should go for first...

reminds me of those neons that have no mods but a pepboys exhaust and a big k&n sticker on the front windshield

although the tanabe is one of the quietest exhaust... you'll definitely be very happy with it... it's just a couple of things i feel needs to get done first before putting on the exhaust. just my personal opinion

 

You already have lips and tint.

You need drop and wheels.

XM, well, if you like XM, do it.

Then Tanabe, which is an awesome mod, but will look weird on no drop, IMHO.

You have a great looking ride. IT NEEDS DROP AND WHEELS!!! Heck, even just drop and spacers.

 

If your car is a 250, forget the power uppers, go for 'looks' first, its not worth it your car will still be slow. If you have a 350, forget the power uppers, go for looks first, its not worth it your car will still be fast... i hope that made sense...

my suggestion, tint, 6k hid bulb, led parking lite, fog bulbs.

or as Lama said,

drop/spacers.

Thanks everybody once again. The group buy price is for $619 SHIPPED... Thanks for the site with the cheap exhaust, but after shipping it's $50 more. All the sites are like that. I found one site for $539, but after shipping it's still like $615.

Also, I feel like when I drop my ride, I go into a whole different level with modding. I'm only going to have this car until May 2009.

Lastly, y'all gotta understand that I'm gonna do something probably every week, or every other week. So next week, or the week after we'll do the next step. So right now, I'm thinking exhaust because its the biggest saving.
