Default How do you leave the radio on, after turning off car?

You know, on most of my other cars, when I parked to pick someone up, all I had to do is turn the key one move to the left, and the radio would stay on, and engine would turn off.

But I havent figured out how to do that on my IS... does anyone know how to do that?

press the button twice without pressing the brake. They should of told you this when you bought the car.

Move the shifter into neutral, hit the engine start/stop button.
The engine will turn off, but the electronics will stay on

Wow, that worked, cool, thanks. It would have been cool if it worked by just "holding down" the start button, like when you "hold down" the up key for a second to play the "next cd" in our radios.

P.S. if you just hit the start button twice, the radio would turn off (and any other gadgets you got connected would turn off), plus if your listening to a great song, and you dont want it off, it would suck.

Now by putting the shift to neutral, you eliminated that inconvenience! GREAT JOB THANKS!

that's when the engine is off and you want to start the radio only

what the OP is asking is when the engine is running and he wants the engine off but with the radio still running.. is when you put the shift to Neutral and press the start/stop button. then, shift back to P

Same for AT, the push start button work exactly the same as the key ignition. The first push = ACC (accessories), 2nd push = ignition, so with your foot off the brake then push the button once it'll turn on your radio, clock, and cigarette lighter.
