Passenger door won't LOCK !
 

Hey everyone,

I'm new here and I just bought my 06 IS350 two weeks ago. Today, I got the car tinted and when I went to the grocery store afterwards, the car wouldn't make the beep noise when I pushed the remote lock.

Then I found out it wasn't locking my passenger door. Has anyone else had this problem? I searched and I saw that some RX's were having this problem. Is this common? (so i can rule out the tint shop broke something)

Also, I know people have the vibration in the rear view mirror with the sunroof open. Has the dealer fixed this issue?

they have to remove the door panels to get the tint on the fronts because the tweeters are in the way. they might have messed with some of the wiring?

What kind of film on your tint did you get? Some types of film used in tinting can effect the electronics in your car.

I don't think the tint will effect the keyless entry. It might effect the radio. Stvn is probably right, the tint guys probably messed up the door lock somehow. Check and see if the door locks manually.

Best to take it back to the tint shop first. Let them check their work. Otherwise, you can go to the dealership and get it fixed under warranty.

Also, the dealer can fix the rear view mirror vibration. Just tell them of your concerns, and they should address it. Again, this is covered under warranty.

same thing happened to my car after tints. he didn't put the hooks back on properly so i just took it back to the dealer and they fixed it under warranty. i would've gone back to the tint guy but I don't' want to take my car back to a tint shop that does'nt know how to put stuff back together.

:thumbup: I was freaking out when the tint guy took off my door panel, but he assured me that everything would be put back together as it was.

yea my dude put up some pretty tints on my car. had to take apart my door panels but it was ok. he works on porsches, mercede's lambo's rolls royce and lexus so he knew what he was doing.

but get your door checked out. i'm pretty sure they broke something
