The "Puddle Lights" typically activate and illuminate when the sonsor detects your "Smart Key" in close proximity. It is a courtesy lamp that acts not only as a safety mechanism, but to ID your vehicle in a dark lot. These lights under the mirror may have illuminated during the day, but are hard to see with the sun.

Hey don't feel bad. I didn't notice these puddle lights for a while on my car either. I finally discovered them after washing my car one day. Yes, what an amazing discovery (LOL).

Nothing more pimp than walking up to your car and seeing those puddle lights coming on!

All that's missing from that scene are white doves and the sound of angels humming.

Not flaming just brutally honest, "puddle"-"lamp" it's not irony, they're actually so if there is a "puddle" you see it and do not step in it.

If you ever get a chance check out an Audi A8 (current models). My boys got one , when he hits his unlock, not only do his puddle lamps eluminate but also all the door handles (all in blue leds) it's a beatiful thing, esp' on white. Possible DIY mod in the future I'll post if I do it .

My car has the violins playing with the lights from the heavens shining down on it upon the "Puddle Lamp" activation. I guess that was included in the "Evangelical Edition Special Package."
