Loaner Car for an Oil Change?

I got one of these my last service too. Didn't really like it--PLUS I had to sit thru a tutorial with the SA on the car before I could take it. I get the sense that they get a lot of complaints from people who think the car stalled, and have difficulty with the transmission selector. Next time they ask me if I want one, I'll politely decline. Lesson learned.

Well this all sucks, it was one of the things I was excited about when purchasing a lexus. I guess I'll just have to cross my fingers and hope they may eventually give me one cause this is the only dealer within an hour.

I've had an IS250 loaner and an ES350 loaner thus far.
The other time I've been there, I opted to stay at the dealership, and because it was during lunchtime they gave me a $20 voucher for lunch at two nearby restaurants which was nice.

My local dealer changed it's policies back when the economy started getting bad. They took the oil change loaner away and only provided one if the car had to be held overnight. I was very pissed

yeah my saleswoman said i would get free loaner with oil change. then they changed it and most of the older sales people got fired. if i put up a fight they will give me one. depending how many they have available.

Loaner cars are usually a marketing strategy and also serves as an enticement for a customer having to try another model of their cars. Having said this, I have seen dealers give out a completely different car brand as loaners. (i.e. Benz dealers use Ford as their loaner cars)

My local dealership gives them out as long as you're having them do some sort of work. I've gotten one for oil changes though you just have to let them have it longer so they get to it sometime in the day, which I don't mind. Only time they would give it out for body repair is if they caused the damage, I had a lot porter damage my front bumper and it was in their body shop for 3 weeks, I had a IS200t for 1 week and got tired of it and asked to trade for RX350 and had it for 2 weeks. But the marketing strategy I see it working, as I was showing off the new model 2015 RX to all my friends and family and took them on rides/what not. My dealership only gave out IS200t/FSport, ES350, CT200h(at the time), NX200t, RX350 only. No RCs, GS, GX, LX, LS or F's, understandable but I really wanted to show off the GS/LS to my parents as they do not step out to a dealership or test drive, but having the RX loaner got them to purchase an older one from the same dealership.
They did run out of loaner cars once and borrowed a bunch from Hertz/Enterprise, the regular eco boxes but even those ran out and they had a Challenger AT V8... was tempted to "take my car in for service" so I could mess with it for a day since no one wanted it
