I'm in!!! (intro)
Greetings from Northridge, California. After much lingering and research, I finally picked up my new IS250 a few weeks ago. It's a great car and I am loving it so far. I find it's a great mix of sport, luxury, and efficiency. Looked all around for Glacier Frost and had to drive a ways to find it, but it was well worth it. Everyone keeps commenting on it's chameleon appearance. I went with the basic premium package and I will tint the windows soon. Everything else I prefer to leave stock, as I like how Lexus outfitted and styled the car. It was down to this or another Audi A4 (I had a 2003 that was totaled), but the leases are far better on the Lexus, and I believe you get way more features for the dollar. When the new A4 comes out this fall, that will be a different story. But for now, I had to get a car and this was the best thing out there from everything I looked at. The Taste of Lexus Certificate helped too.
All is not perfect though... it's already in the shop for some issues. I have a "air sucking" and grinding sound that comes from above the center A/C vent above 60 mph. The rearview mirror vibrates excessively (TSB?), and I will have them look at the cracking sounds coming from the stereo if they have the dash apart for the sucking sound. I am a little let down with these issues, but it's not a huge deal and I have faith the dealer will get it up to snuff shortly. The service so far has been exemplary. The loaner is an RX400h.
Anyway, just wanted to introduce myself. I have used this forum for over a year doing research, and now it's nice to actually be a part of the community. If anyone else is in the San Fernando Valley, drop me a line.

and yep, it sounds like you have the Dash Rattle and rearview mirror problems, im pretty sure both are under TSB (if they agree with the diagnosis)
lexus usually takes car of its own, i think you'll get some good service and you'll be happy
good luck with yoru car =), GFM is sexy

Well.... I didn't become a Lexus owner until now. And was happy with the A4 until someone destroyed it. It was then I was forced to start shopping for a car again and the IS is the best thing out right now.
