this isn't a normal sound. the 2013 rx350 makes no sound like this. if you had one that did this you would understand

Did you drive them all because I never experienced any rattle like this until IS250.

I agree. It's not even a "rattle" it's a very loud popping or cracking sound. Everyone that rides hears it and asks what it is.

I started another thread last week that directed me to this one... I dropped my car off and the tech did not hear it at first. The tech did not drive it long enough to hear it and called me to see exactly what he had to do to hear it. I got the call yesterday that he heard it. They did everything they could to research the problem. They even called into the tech line which is basically a call center of ASE master mechanics with YEARS of automotive experience (i only know this because i work for a company that hires Nissan contractors) as a last result to inquire about the "problem" and even "they didn't know". This seems weird to me because it is a very well known problem just by doing a simple google search. I guess the regional service tech or whatever they call it will be here on the 24th and they are going to try to replicate it for him.
