Just do what my wife does: Creep forward and after you hear or feel a bump you’ve gone far enough. The only thing she’s scratched so far is the front license plate.

Unless there's a high parking bumper or curb that catches the lip spoiler...

Actually, she’s done that. There are scrape marks on the passenger side of the bumper at the very bottom. I tried to touch up the area a few times with touch-up paint but eventually gave up. Thank goodness for the backup camera or we’d have a problem in the rear too.
I would love a front camera since I have the Tom's kit + my car is lowered + I can't park for crap! And I don't see how just having a front camera is considered "rice". I agree with Nehal that the term shouldn't be thrown out there whenever one feels like it.
I think this is a pretty useful idea, actually. The real issue for me is when I change cars, from say my LS430 to something lowered. Especially if I'm in a rush or I'm parking somewhere I don't usually park (for example - a couple strip malls around here, in parking spaces along the walkways, actually have an additional parking bumper in front of the curb ), it's easy to forget or not notice.
I wonder why they didnt put 3 front sensors instead of 2 -__-
ditto. i guess i understand it if it was for looks, but still whats the point if theres nothing in the front. i wish there were sensors built into lips.
lol I hacked my back up cam and added a switch to turn it on and off even when im not in reverse... and also hooked up a ps2.. but never thought of putting a camera in the front... ure facing the front so whats there to see?
why?
you know, i always thought the windshield provided a really good view out the front of my car.
why the hell would you want a front camera?
damn riceboys!
I bet there was a time where some people once said "why need a reverse camera" but then you think about it and it really helps out. Parking sensors had there time as well to where no one ever thought it made perfect sense to why you should dish out extra cash for such a worthless feature......innovation always wins and in this matter throwing a camera in the front is innovative not "riceboys!" style.
