Default What a day at the dealership..just venting now..

Man was at Newport Lexus to get my 25K service 195.95, have them inspect my rear left rear tire (free) the service advisor came up to me 10 minutes ago and was like there is a nail in the wall of your rear tire, and he said i shouldnt drive it because the tire might explode, so i was like whatever how much to replace? he reply $318, i was like for ONE TIRE, ahh total bill is like $500 something now, Ill never get moon cakes.

Sorry to hear that. Kind of expensive for a tire in my opinion. Ask for a discount because tires dont cost that much!!!

$318 for 1 stock tire!
That's sick!
I would have went to a nearby tire shop and bought 4 tires. At 25K miles, you probably need them anyway.
Now you're stuck having to buy 3 more crap stock tires.
Try TireRack.

Also, your in NEWPORT BEACH, their service dept charges more for everything. Sounds like the tire is about $100 too much.

I feel your pain man this happened to me about 3 weeks ago. $276.95 for a front left tire. Thing is though, I only had 1400 miles on the car!

^This makes a lot more sense because you were due for new tires anyway. $318 is almost enough to buy 2 maybe even 3 tires. You probably just bought the dealership a new coffee-making machine

most 250's in socal are on 18's

but if i were you, i woulda asked to see the tire. if it really was in the sidewall, then i woulda asked them to slap the spare on and go shop around for new tires.

I see.
Do all RWDs come with 18" tires?
Most 250s in the northeast are AWDs with 17".
I believe there's no RWD allotment to dealers from Virginia up to Maine.
